In the Autumn of 2021, I began working with a local anthropology professor to create a digital exhibit that displayed his archaeological work in the Bandafassi region of Senegal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Exploring the Archaeology of Upper Gambia (Senegal) would also serve as a blueprint for a future physical exhibit at a local cultural center in Senegal. I used Omeka S to construct the digital exhibit from the information that the professor gave to me. The website notably utilizes the mapping module and includes 3D images of artifacts. The website is now available for public viewing and will will receive continued updates with future trips to Senegal.
